We Need to Talk: The Next Chapter for Oasis

Oasis is Growing—And So Is Our Mission

I’ve been quiet lately—not because the work stopped, but because it got deeper. Because I’m a full-time mom, trying to grow a dream big enough to change lives—while making dinner, chasing kids, and believing it’s possible.

It’s not just about food. Or housing.

It’s about dignity. Autonomy. Options. Reclamation.

This has been a momentous project to launch. It's deep and wide. I’ve often felt alone in this vision before—but I’m not anymore. This vision is growing faster than I can explain. And still, I’m here—with my hands in the dirt and hope in my chest. And you’re part of that.

Thank you.

Oasis Farms has grown from an idea into something real. A movement. A plan in action. And now—it's becoming something even bigger.

Oasis Farms is launching a nonprofit branch. Because we need more than vision—we need support that can meet the size of this dream.

As a full-time single mom, I’ve been building this dream between dinner time and bedtime. Planting seeds while holding the hands of three kids. Doing what many of you know all too well: trying to hold hope and survival at the same time.

And now I get to say this—We’re building something bold.

🌿 “We Need to Talk” is our first official nonprofit initiative. It’s not just a tagline—it’s a campaign to shift how we talk about survivorship, autonomy, housing, food, and dignity in Eastern Kentucky.

We’re calling for:

  • Private donors to help fund housing, equipment, and infrastructure.

  • Tax-deductible donations (coming very soon!) to help sustain our vision.

  • Storytelling and support to bring this message to more ears and hearts.

I’m beyond excited about the incredible folks bringing their hearts and hands the Oasis board—leaders, survivors, and changemakers who have already shaped so much of this work. I’ll introduce them soon.

For now, I wanted to thank you. If you’ve donated, shared, shown up, or simply read this far—you’re part of the reason I get to write this.

Stay with us. This is the beginning of something powerful.

And we need to talk. Thank you for being a part of the conversation.
